This is a life-and-death matter for people, so if youre in the mood to be nasty and thus comment, your comment will be removed. Feel free to be nasty in my other videos, but NOT here. People need to think over the importance of their eternal future, thats why this video is so simple.
Heres why. Too few “Christians” even say the Gospel correctly anymore, though John 3:16 is clear enough in translation. Its appalling. Most pastors, evangelists, and Christian websites, Youtube videos and chatrooms dont get the Gospel right. So who is saved?
A generation ago — and you can tell, by the J. Vernon McGee radio series — it was common knowledge that you only had to believe in Christ to be saved. Not so common, now. So this video is designed to register those who still know that its ONLY BELIEVE to be permanently saved, so that folks SEEKING that information can find the right people, and right here.
BELIEVE ONCE that Christ paid for all your sins, and you are FOREVER saved. Video goes through why thats true. It begins with my giving John 3:16 in Spanish — which Ive not spoken in years, so please forgive the pronunciation — and then launches into the Greek of John 3:16, to show you how the TEXT ITSELF says salvation is eternally secure, in the Lords Own Words (all the Bible is from God, but I selected John 3:16 for the red-letter Christians, so even they cant dispute this). The videos Greek-geek stuff in John 3:16 is not hard to understand if you use 1John 1:9 as needed; and is very important. Very simple tense-matching rule in Greek grammar shows you that salvation is eternally secure. Of course, this same information is obtainable in hundreds of other Bible verses, but this one makes a good example.
CHRIST IS COMPETENT. So its All Cross, or No Cross. The Lord would never permit anything less. Lambs eat and die, they never work. Goats, work. So its time to separate the sheep from the goats. Guess which ones get saved. So all those Matt7:21 “Lord, Lord” Christians who did some OTHER verb in addition to or instead of “believe”, might not be saved! Which one are you?
100% of the doctrinal disputes in Christendom would be resolved if everyone just paid better attention to what Gods Inspired Word says. And He inspired, the writers; in whatever ORIGINAL language they wrote, thats the only inspired text. For inspiration goes to a person; translators cannot possibly translate as well as the original. So its like you are in the same timezone, as the writer. You are THERE, jack. And with the Holy Spirits Power, you can learn to read those original words super-fast. And see God much more quickly, much more deeply. Now you know why God commanded teachers. It speeds the process, makes it more systematic (so you dont pull verses out of context), etc.
Parting Shot to Atheists: Youtuber philos71 is right. You guys engage in logical fallacies all over the place. And the biggest one, is that you wont read Bible deeply. If you did, youd KNOW GOD. For Bible itself is really His Word, and all us Christians know that. THAT is why we believe. Gods Own Thinking is Evident in that Book, especially in the original-language texts which IN AGGREGATE are inerrant, infallible, provably Divine Genius-True. Thats why its in writing, so we dont have to rely on hallucinations, dreams, visions and all the claptrap of false spirituality. I testify to all that on pain of death, gladly. So will many others. We SEE it. So believe Christ paid for your sins, get saved, then go back to being an atheist again. See you in heaven…
